Cedar Trust is in the process of raising funds for a number of projects that are under way.


The St. Rafqa Cathedral and Community Center in S'haileh

S'haileh village in Kesrwen in the site of this large project being financed purely through private donations.  Lebanese construction workers and engineers are donating their time and skills but more money is needed to complete the project.

Financial Needs: US$ 50,000. Status: US$ 3,570 raised.

Tree Planting and Reforestation

A number of areas and villages have been identified that were completely depleted of vegetation during the war and are suffering from serious erosion.  Cedar Trust will be helping these areas through planting trees that are native to the locality. Also income generating trees such as olive and fruit trees will be provided to the poorest villagers and small farmers in these areas.

Financial Needs: US$ 17,000 for 4.250 trees. Status: US$ 2,900 raised.

Financial Needs: US$ 31,500 for 7,500 trees. Status: Completed.

The Convent of St. Joseph in Grabta

This convent was the home of the Saint Rafqa al-Rayes, a saint of Lebanon,  and is now her resting place.  The convent is in urgent need of major refurbishment and renovation.

Financial Needs: US$ 45,000 for refurbishment. Status: Completed.

Computer Equipment and Training

A number of schools have no computer facilities and Cedar Trust will be providing computer equipment for a number schools in villages across Lebanon.

Financial Needs: US$ 12,000 for 15 computers. Status: US$ 1,250 raised.

Financial Needs: US$ 17,900 for 20 computers. Status: Completed.
