As a result of the devastating war and the current state of the economy, many of Lebanon's most significant landmarks are in a terrible state of decay. 

The Heritage program is concerned with the preservation and renovation of Lebanon' s finest historic landmark buildings and sites. 

Projects are to be carried out across the country with those areas needing the most urgent attention being tackled first.
