The function of this program is to fund the education of economically deprived but academically gifted Lebanese students, both in Lebanon and abroad,  through a series of grants, loans, and scholarships.

Both school and university grants and scholarships may be awarded by Cedar Trust to suitable candidates. 

Scholarships are awarded on a unique set of criteria which may vary from one scholarship to the next. Some scholarships consider the academic achievement and financial need of the student while others consider athletic ability, or specialized skills.

Interest free loans may also be award to Lebanese university students. Once the loans are repaid the funds are used to help other students.

Lebanese schools can also benefit under the education program as they may qualify for financial aid so as to improve facilities.
